NEBOSH National General Certificate
Learning
The National General Certificate is intended to enable managers and supervisors to discharge more effectively their health and safety responsibilities to the organisation and to those they manage. It will help ensure that decisions are made from a position of knowledge across a broad range of hazards and work activities.
Qualification
The certificate course is a demanding but rewarding experience that is designed to complement existing managerial skills. As such, candidates will be expected to prepare for each module by producing small presentations on management subjects and delivering them to their colleagues giving them the opportunity to develop their effectiveness in convincing management to take action.
These core competencies are transferable across all employment sectors, which makes the qualification highly respected and valued by employers.
Success
Holders of the National General Certificate have demonstrated that they possess a broad base of knowledge and understanding of health and safety such that they can manage their everyday activities safely with health and safety as an integral part rather than a bolt on extra. With the Certificate you will be able to make a valuable contribution to reducing losses to your organisation and harm to your fellow employees.
