The Qualification
NEBOSH is the UK’s leading health and safety awarding body and is gaining increasing international status. NEBOSH qualifications are recognised and respected by employers in all sectors of employment and provide the benchmark standard against which others are compared.

The National General Certificate (NGC) is designed for managers, deputy managers, personnel who have responsibility for updating the safety systems and procedures, representatives of employee’s safety and others who require knowledge and understanding of occupational health and safety. The NGC is also the foundation qualification for anyone wishing to embark on a career in health and safety

Health and Safety at Work
Managers and supervisors making day to day decisions have a crucial role to play in any organisation’s health and safety management system, for it is the quality of these decisions that will determine successful outcomes and success in health and safety as a precursor to good management in general. The National General Certificate enables managers and supervisors to discharge more effectively their health and safety responsibilities to the organisation and to those they manage. It will help ensure that decisions are made from a position of knowledge across a broad range of hazards and work activities.
